Afghani Construction Directorate

Afghani Construction Enterprise originated as a branch of Helmand Construction Enterprise, separating in 1965 (1343) with an initial capital of 100 million Afghanis. Based on a government decision at the time, it began operating as an independent construction enterprise. This enterprise was responsible for producing most of the materials needed by the construction sector in the country. With a workforce that included 2,400 engineers and over 2,000 workers, it efficiently met the existing demand.

The major achievements of this enterprise include the construction of the 18-story Ministry of Communications building, the 14-story Pamir Cinema building, the Intercontinental Hotel, and the Marble Palace in the Arg. Additionally, the restoration of historical buildings and mosques across the country is another notable activity of this enterprise.

On 15/11/1398 Presidential Decree No. 28 integrated the enterprise into the National Development Corporation. Since then, it has been responsible for the construction of all infrastructure projects related to the corporation, implementing projects with national priority.
