Metal Elements Production and Prefabricated Units Directorate

Established in 1975 (1354), the Metal Elements Production Enterprise began its operations in the mechanical shop of the repair workshops for construction materials used in the irrigation networks of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation. Based on the eleventh article of Resolution No. 23 dated (19/11/1366), and a decision by the Council of Ministers at that time, the enterprise began operating as a for-profit entity in (1367). By (1398), it operated under the Ministry of Energy and Water.

Originally, this enterprise was created specifically for constructing hydrotechnical metal elements for irrigation networks, including water gates, dams, canals, and watercourse stabilization. Following Presidential Decree No. 3177 dated March 6, 2020 (15/12/1398), the Metal Elements Production Enterprise merged into the National Development Corporation. Since 2023 (1402), the prefabricated parts factory has been separated from the Housing Construction Directorate and merged with this directorate.
